The Nehemiah Project: Phase II

Champions Funding is excited to announce its latest public private partnership with the City of Tampa Bay and the community revitalization group, Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay (RTTB).

Champions and RTTB celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony September 10 to launch an 18-home new construction joint venture designed to enter Phase II of the Nehemiah Project in the historic Sulphur Springs area.

Champions Funding, whose mission is to diminish neighborhood blight, stabilize existing home values and provide affordable housing, is providing the funding package in excess of $2-million for the three bedroom, two bath homes with construction to be completed within an 18-month time frame.  In addition, working with its partners, Champions Funding is providing down payment assistance and GAP funding for qualified, low-income home seekers in connection with the Nehemiah Project.  To date, this marks Champions Funding’s largest single project and is launched on a solid foundation of economic viability as all 18-units have been placed under sales contracts with a waiting list for more affordable news home and existing home rehabilitation in and around the Sulphur Springs area.
